An early connection to the sea set the stage for Azzam Al Mannai’ s lifelong passion for marine and wildlife photography. First featured in Q Life Magazine in 2021, Azzam’ s work has always stood out for its quiet depth, capturing scenes beyond modern life and deeply rooted in Qatar’ s natural landscapes.

“ My father was my first teacher, and I was his first student,” he reflects, highlighting the legacy of knowledge and passion passed down through family. Today, his lens continues to capture Qatar’ s marine and desert environments while exploring themes of memory, identity, and the human connection to nature.“ Our human nature pushes us to explore our oceans and what is beyond our oceans. As a nature photographer, I always witness the world through my camera lens, especially the underwater world”( Q Life, Qatar’ s Nature, 2023).

Since his first feature in Q Life, Azzam has expanded his creative practice. Incorporating new digital techniques and conceptual storytelling, his work now dives deeper into the narratives of the natural world. He connects audiences to the ocean and to the conversations around conservation and ecological awareness.
