His Excellency Khalifa bin Jassim Al Kuwari is the Director General of Qatar Fund for Development ( QFFD ) – the agency responsible for implementing Qatar ’ s foreign aid policies . To date , QFFD has reached more than 46 million people in over 100 countries worldwide .
What interested you in working in international development ?
In our line of work , you ’ re in the front seat witnessing natural crises , wars , disparities , and inequalities that unfortunately impact the lives of millions of people . The remarkable part of running a development agency is that you have a real opportunity to make a difference and improve the lives and livelihoods of individuals , communities , and regions . Only a few other career pathways can offer something similar at such a global level .
